The Fools Pilgrimage – We Are Stardust 💫
It’s an interesting thought to consider, that the atoms running thru my body were formed in an exploding star billions of years ago!
Physically then, my body is made of ‘stuff’ that’s been around forever – I am therefore, older than I look!
The weather here in Plymouth over the past weekend has been just beautiful! The sun was shining, the wind was calm, it was just a glorious Autumnal day and with the weather like that it was a great opportunity to get out into the great outdoors. Away from roads and people, away from buildings and the town so we headed, with our paddle boards up to Lopwell Dam.
There were a few walkers, wild swimmers and fishers in the area but mostly myself and Lisa were out on the water on our own.
It was lovely to stop paddling, close my eyes and feel the warmth of the sun on my face, hear the rustling of the leaves as a gentle breeze blows through them. Listen again and hear the screech of the bird of prey circling overhead and the call of the Canadian geese to each other.
Being in nature like this reminds me very strongly that there is a connectedness and joined up force that runs through everything and everyone – we are all made up of that star dust formed before the Earth began.
A smile spreads across my face at the whims of nature that means I exist in this body right now rather than in the duck that went flying by after it decided me and my paddle board were getting to close.
If therefore we are all made from the ‘same stuff’, when I see whatever is around me struggling that pulls at my heart strings.
My Dad used to tell me “there, but for the Grace of God goes I” and that often rings in my ears – but I change it to “there, because of the Grace of God goes I” we are all on a journey and I’ve been that one off of the path – we are connected and it’s my grace to help out, to respect and to value all the embodiment of that stardust where ever and whatever it might be 😊
Namaste 🙏 have a great day 😊
